Biography

John C. Freemuth, PH.D. is the Senior Fellow of the Andrus Center for Public Policy and Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Boise State University. Dr. Freemuth’s research and teaching emphasis is in natural resource and public land policy and administration. Freemuth’s book “Islands Siege: National Parks and the Politics of External Threats was published in 1991 and describes the role of politics in protecting national parks. Dr. Freemuth is currently the chair of the Bureau of Land Management's National Science Advisory Board.
